HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY SMOOTHIES THAT TASTE GREAT

There's nothing like starting off your morning with something healthy that's going to really give you all that you need to get through the morning. This is why I'd like to show you how to make healthy smoothies that are not just good for you but ones that taste great at the same time.

Some may not like those green colored smoothies and often it's simply because green often doesn't look all that appetizing. But here's one for you that adds grapes and coconut to add a special kind of sweetness to it that will help make you forget the color. Coconut, Grape & Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup of seedless green grapes

1 cup of baby spinach

½ cup of ice

¼ cup of coconut milk

Nut & Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients

¾ cup of low fat milk

¾ cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)

½ banana

1 tablespoon natural almond or peanut butter

1 tablespoon honey

Put all the ingredients in together in your blender, blend until it's frothy and smooth, serve and enjoy!

Gingery Berry & Oat Smoothie

Ingredients

¼ cup of oats

½ cup of blueberries (frozen or fresh)

½ cup plain yogurt

½ cup of ice

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

¼ to ½ teaspoon fresh ginger grated

½ cup of water

 

Directions

Put your oats and ½ cup of water in your blender. Let the oats soak until they are soft, this should take about 15 minutes. Next add the blueberries, ice, brown sugar, yogurt, and the ginger. Blend all of the ingredients well until the smoothie is frothy and smooth.

Here's yet another way how to make healthy smoothies that includes some kale, something your kids might frown about but, by adding some fresh pineapple, that really green color will be subdued which should make them quite happy.

Banana & Pineapple Smoothie With Kale

Ingredients

½ cup of coconut milk

2 cups kale

1 ½ cps pineapple chopped

1 chopped banana

 

Directions

Put all the ingredients in your blender and puree until it's smooth. This should take about a minute then add water to get to the consistency that you want.

Not many people turn away from strawberries so here's how to make healthy smoothies that include this popular and delicious fruit. I hope you'll not balk at the flax included in this because the flavor that awaits you is one you simply don't want to miss out on.

Strawberry & Flax Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup of strawberries (fresh or frozen)

¾ cup of plain yogurt

½ cup of fresh orange juice

1 tablespoon of honey

1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal (should be able to find it at any health food store)

 

Directions

Put your strawberries, orange juice, yogurt, flaxseed meal, and honey in your blender. Simply blend until this great tasting smoothie is frothy and smooth.

Orange Juice “Shake”

Ingredients

½ cup of 1% milk

3 seedless clementine oranges

1 small banana

2 ice cubes

1 teaspoon of honey

½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

 

Directions

Put the ingredients in your blender and puree all of it for 30 to 60 seconds and blend this great tasting smoothie until it's nice and frothy and smooth. Serve and enjoy!
